ScandBuild – a Scandinavian
meeting place
ScandBuild 2007 saw meetings between buyers and sellers, builders, decision-makers and entrepreneurs, experts
and practitioners, economists and visionaries, Germans
and Balts, Danes and Swedes. It was where those who
see industrial construction as the future met those who
see timber construction as the only way forward.
It was a meeting place for those who have understood
that the EU is serious about digitalising construction processes
• ScandBuild – a true meeting place
ScandBuild is not only a trade fair but also a meeting place where the future of the building industry is created through personal contacts with everyone involved in construction. This is where new products, new technology, new methods and new rules are presented, demonstrated and discussed, all at face-to-face meetings.
ScandBuild features:
> Exhibition - trade fair
> Conferences and lectures
> Professional skills development
> Special exhibitions
> Activities
> Industry meetings
> Personal contacts
• Exhibition - trade fair
The exhibition is a large part of ScandBuild. This is where building industry suppliers display their products, machinery, services and technology. Everything from building materials to tools, machines, plumbing supplies, and ventilation. The exhibitors are mainly from Sweden and Denmark, but oher European countries are also represented.

The Danish Minister for Economic and Business Affairs, Bendt Bendtsen,
and the Swedish Minister for Local Government and Financial Markets,
Mats Odell, were the opening speakers at ScandBuild 2007.
• Professional skills development
At a centrally situated stage visitors can come and listen to inspiring presentations on current issues and major innovations within the industry given by eminent architects, experts, and researchers. You can also experience lively debates between well-known political figures and representatives from the industry.
• Special exhibitions
The central hall will be the site of many types of special exhibitions, including model houses made of new materials and constructions using the latest techniques. This is the place to explore the newest building technology.
There will also be an exhibition of architect-designed models of projects, some already completed, of which some will be built in the future.
• Industry meetings
Many organisations in the industry will hold their meetings (annual meetings, seminars, membership meetings) at ScandBuild. After all, what's more natural than to have a meeting where everyone wants to be?
• Personal meetings
Personal meetings between visitors and exhibitors, sellers and purchasers, colleagues, competitors, friends and acquaintances, take place at exhibition booths and in the aisles, as well as at industry meetings and conferences held all over ScandBuild. These personal meetings change the building industry, and create its future.
