Strong construction market in Scandinavia
The Scandinavian construction boom continues apace, with the latest figures showing that it will carry on for many years to come.
Having experienced a construction boom in Scandinavia for a number of years, it is pleasing to note that market conditions remain brisk in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
The construction industry is working at full speed. The latest figures* show that the value of construction projects started has grown by around 10% per year for the last 6-7 years, reaching new heights in recent years of almost 15% per year. These trends show that the boom will continue for many years to come.
The main reason for this is that significant investments are currently being made in both infrastructure and commercial properties, whilst the demand for housing continues to rise in line with population figures. The Öresund region is one of the most expansive parts of Scandinavia, and it is here that much of this investment is taking place. Read more» |
