SCANDBUILD AT BELLA CENTER 31 MARCH – 2 APRIL 2009
David Fisher – Meet one of the Best Architects in the World at ScandBuild
The visionary Italian architect David Fisher is regarded as one of the best architects in the world and was nominated “Architect of the year 2008” by The Developers and Builders Alliance. Wednesday 1st April he will speak from ScandBuild’s stage.
On Stage at ScandBuild will gather a number of renown and world-famous architects who during the course of ScandBuild will share their thoughts behind some of the world’s most talked-about buildings right now.
The creation of Dynamic Towers in Dubai has paved the way for a new era of architecture, and David Fisher will share his thoughts behind this spectacular building with the visitors at ScandBuild.
“Modern life is dynamic, and the space we are living in should be dynamic as well and adjustable to our needs that change continuously, to our concept of design and to our moods. Dynamic buildings will follow the rhythms of nature, changing their direction and shape, minute by minute, from sunrise to sunset, season to season, adjusting themselves to the environment. From now on, buildings will be alive, creating a fourth dimension of Time, to become part of New Architecture, and transforming the shape of the skylines of the world”, says David Fischer.
David Fisher’s work has a dual focus: an industrial strategy using pre-fabricated parts custom-made in a factory, and Dynamic Towers where traditional three-dimensional constructions create a fourth dimension of Time.
Buildings in motion will challenge traditional architecture and have already become a symbol for a new philosophy which will change the spaces of our towns and cities. David Fisher offers the opportunity of using an endless number of designs, as the floors rotate independently of each other at various paces and in different directions. This results in a unique and continuous development of form and shape.
A New Era of Green Buildings
This is even the first sky scraper in motion which is totally prefabricated. The various custom-made parts arrive at the building site and are mechanically assembled quickly and efficiently. Then they are hoisted along the concrete core from above and down. This procedure saves energy, reduces construction time and offers cost savings as well. Buildings should not be different from any other product, and now they will be made at a production plant.
At Dynamic Towers horizontal wind turbines are mounted between each rotating floor, and they are practically invisible and extremely noiseless, partly because of their particular shape and partly because they are made from carbon fibre. When used in conjunction with solar panels the buildings become green power plants with the capacity of generating electricity for their own use as well as supplying other buildings in the vicinity.
