World Class Architecture On Stage at ScandBuild
During ScandBuild 31st March – 2nd April a line-up of world-famous architects and experts will enter the Center Hall stage. Throughout the three days of ScandBuild they will share their thoughts behind some of the most talked-about buildings in the world right now.
On Stage at ScandBuild presents a number of well-reputed and world-famous architects and experts. From the stage they will share their thoughts behind some of the world’s most talked-about buildings right now.
Architect of the Year 2008, David Fisher from Dynamic Architecture Group, Italy, has given architecture a new dimension exemplified by his Dynamic Towers i Dubai. At ScandBuild he will talk about these dynamic buildings which follow the rhythm of nature and thus create a fourth dimension of time through architecture. This concept will change the shape of skylines throughout the world.
The best housing complex in the world Mountain Dwellings in Copenhagen, winner at World Architecture Festival in Barcelona 2008, is being presented at ScandBuild by the architect who designed the house – David Zahle from BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, Copenhagen.
One of the world’s most energy saving houses is at present being build in Åkarp North of Malmö, Sweden. The energy efficient constructions will be explained at ScandBuild’s stage by Karin Adalberth, PhD in Building Physics, from Prime Project Ltd. in Lund.
The Water Front in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, – Ajman Crescent – will be presented by architect Uffe Bay-Smidt from aart ltd..
The Darwin Centre in London will now enter its second phase and architect Anne Maria Indrio from C. F. Møller Architects Ltd. will tell more about this.
Bella Sky, Bella Center’s new hotel, is soaring into the sky, and architect Bo Boje Larsen at 3XN will be present at ScandBuild to talk about the thoughts behind this project. .
Other experts On Stage at ScandBuild:
Architect Rie Øhlenschlæger will present the Bolig+ project which focuses on the next generation of Danish housing construction – the energy neutral house. Kerstin Åkerwall, head of city planning at Malmö Stad och Anne Skovbo, head of city planning at the Municipality of Copenhagen, will talk about the future building plans of Malmö and Copenhagen.
Civ. eng. Anna Bernstad, Skandinavian Green Roof, will give information about green rooves in an urban environment. Civ. eng. Anna Barosen, White Architects, will raise the issue of labeled architecture. Eco-labelling of houses is on the increase, but what do the various labels actually stand for? Head of Research Søren Aggerholm, the Danish Building Research Institute, will talk about standards for energy renovations in existing buildings. Architect Tore Hvidegaard, 3D-building, will discuss communication between architects and producers. .
